Pensions

Welplan Pensions is an industry wide company pension scheme established in 1988 to meet the particular requirements of the building services industry, and caters for Operatives, Clerical and Managerial Staff. In October 2009 it was selected as the preferred scheme to deliver the pensions elements of the H & V National Operative Agreement, and is administered by Welplan, a member of the B&ES Group Companies.

It provides employers with a scheme which will meet the requirements of the new pension legislation being phased in between 2012 and 2016. In particular it provides a tried and tested administration system, including an auto entry facility.

Key features of Welplan Pensions:

Simple – easy to understand and easy to administer, with employers and members supported by a dedicated team of expert staff.

Flexible – to fit employers’ differing ways of working, and staff retention and recruitment strategies.

Cost effective – employer contributions qualify for tax relief. Employees also benefit from significant tax concessions on contributions. There are no individual membership charges and no commissions to agents or brokers. Administration costs are covered by annual charges against the pension fund as a whole, which are kept at a competitive level.

Safe – investments are held with Legal & General and controlled by the trustee, not an individual employer.
