Personnel registration
Engineering Services SKILLcard is the building and engineering services industry-recognised scheme for the registration of the skills and competence of personnel working in the mechanical sector of the building and engineering services industry.
Those who can register for SKILLcard include anyone working in the building and engineering services sector, including ductwork and other specialisms associated with the building and engineering services industry such as service and facilities, domestic heating and plumbing, and refrigeration and air conditioning. The scope of SKILLcard also covers those with supervisory and managerial responsibilities in building services.
SKILLcard is affiliated with the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) and is designed specifically with a view to enabling:
• Individual workers to gain access to many construction sites, to demonstrate their skills, competence, qualifications and awareness of workplace health and safety.
• Contractors and service providers to demonstrate to third parties – such as clients, consumers and end-users – the competence, skills and qualifications of individual members of their workforce.
